A Classical Christian Education
At Victory Christian Academy, we provide a classical Christian education rooted in the conviction that education should cultivate the mind, character, and faith of the student.
Our curriculum draws from the Hillsdale K–12 classical curriculum and combines it with strong traditional foundations in the early grades. Across the school, students encounter a carefully ordered progression of phonics, reading, mathematics, literature, history, science, civics, and the Christian faith.
The goal is to give students both the tools of learning and something worth learning—a rich body of knowledge, great books, an understanding of our heritage, and a Christian vision of truth, goodness, and beauty.

Phonics & Reading

Mathematics
Our mathematics program incorporates Singapore Math, developing strong number sense, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving ability.
Students learn not simply to perform mathematical operations, but to understand mathematical relationships and reason through problems.
The program builds progressively from foundational arithmetic toward increasingly sophisticated mathematical thinking.
Literature & Great Books
Great books give students an opportunity to encounter the enduring questions of human life.
As students mature, they read increasingly challenging works of literature from the Western tradition. They encounter authors such as Homer, Shakespeare, Dickens, C. S. Lewis, Orwell, and Twain, along with many other significant writers.
Our middle-school students read works such as A Christmas Carol, Black Ships Before Troy, Hamlet, Animal Farm, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Giver, Anthem, and Gulliver’s Travels.
Through these books, students encounter questions of courage, virtue, justice, friendship, sacrifice, freedom, responsibility, and human nature.
Literature gives students not only stronger reading and writing skills, but a deeper understanding of themselves and the world they inhabit.
History & Civics
Students study history as the story of people, ideas, nations, and institutions.
Our curriculum gives students a broad understanding of Western civilization and American history, helping them see how the past has shaped the world they live in today.
Civics gives particular attention to the American founding and the principles of the American Republic. Students study the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, American government, and the rights and responsibilities of citizenship.
We want students to understand both their heritage and their responsibilities as citizens.
The Christian Faith
VCA’s classical education is fundamentally Christian.
The Bible is woven into the life and education of the school, providing the foundation for our understanding of truth, virtue, human nature, and the purpose of education.
Students study Scripture and Christian doctrine while learning to see the connections between their faith and every area of life. History, literature, science, government, mathematics, and the study of the world around us are all approached within a Christian understanding of creation and truth.
Our desire is for students to grow in knowledge of Scripture, love for Christ, wisdom, and virtue.
